Top of Page Sill Choices

When possible, front hatch walls are to be erected after door frames and sills are installed. If rough openings must be left, then:

  • Rough opening width - Door opening plus 6" on each side
  • Rough opening height - Door opening height plus 3" above.

Entrance Standard Specification:

  • Drywall frames, 3½" to 6" wall, are painted 14 GA CRS, bolted design to form a 1-pc. assembly.
  • Masonry frames, 6" to 10" wall, are painted 16 GA CRS, bolted design to form a 1-pc. assembly.
  • Frames have a 2" face width on side and head jambs.
  • Doors are painted 16 GA CRS face and 14 GA CRS backs with welded reinforced ribs.
  • Sight guards are painted 16 GA CRS.
  • All doors and drywall frames are UL 1 ½" hour "B" label.
  • Headers and struts are 10 GA galvanized steel
  • Sills are extruded aluminum with a "grouted" design.
  • Fascia for up to 12' floor heights is 16 GA galvanized steel.
  • Hanger dust covers are 16 GA galvanized steel.
  • Door sizes 28" x 84" to 48" x 84".
  • Designed for any standard applied track with track by others.
  • Door emergency keyhole included with escutcheon tubes not included.
  • Paint coating is polyurethane enamel of powder coating from our standard color chart.

Entrance Non-Standard Options: Based Upon Gunderlin LTD Equipment

Door Options:

  • Stainless Steel or Bronze cladding; #4 brushed, #8 mirror, custom etched.
  • Plastic Laminate cladding; with binders, kick plates, inlays.
  • Special paint colors and finishes, special multi-color designs.
  • All Stainless Steel construction.
  • Vision panels in doors or full height glass doors.
  • Sound Deaden doors

Frame Options:

  • Stainless Steel or Bronze cladding; #4 brushed, #8 mirror, custom etched.
  • Special paint colors and finishes.
  • Mitered and welded stainless frames.
  • Mitered Bronze frames.
  • Radius and Bullnose frames.

Transom Options:

  • Flush transoms up to a total frame height of 14' in drywall or 20' in masonry walls.
  • Offset transoms up to a total frame height of 14' in drywall or 20' in masonry walls.
  • Transom finish to match any standard or custom door/frame finish.

Sill Options:

  • Special material; Bronze, Nickel Silver, Stainless Steel, Cast Iron.
  • Full Width, heated.
  • Groutless sill design.

Opening Sizes with UL 1 ½" hour "B" label:

  • Drywall; Maximum width of frame opening 96" wide x 120" high (plus transom).
  • Masonry; Maximum width of frame opening 120" wide x 120" high (plus transom).
  • Above sizes are dependent upon door type, check with factory for specific entrance.

Other Options:

  • Fascia for floor heights over 12' and blind fascia.
  • Cutouts in jambs.
  • Extra deep frames and wide jamb faces.
  • Extended head jambs.
